Hi Ladies,

This is to let you know our Meetup subscription of $72.00 (bi-annual rate) was paid apparently anonymously by a wonderful member or friend. EGADS! I went to pay it and it said it was covered by 'coupon' on the Meetup site, and then I received this message yesterday:

Your subscription payment to Meetup was free thanks to a
coupon! Your free payment was processed on April 27, 2010.

If the person who did this generous act is reading this, a heartfelt THANK YOU!

Our dues are covered until Oct. 27, 2010.

Please remember that dues are due upon joining (after attending a couple of meetups to decide if the group is for you), and annually on your join date of $5.00.

If you plan to be an active member, please remember to give the $5 to your group leader or send to the mailing address below, so we can use the money for various SOCWBC business.

In the past, I have set up a post office box, a fictitious business name so a checking account could be opened, purchased a URL (SOCWBC.org), badges, and paid the annual subscription from August 2008 through April 2010.

Lastly, I am taking a Leave of Absence, and Liz is the Co-Organizer of the group, and will be taking over the group leadership in my absence. I am engaged to be married in October, and I also have gone back to school. Between the two, I cannot keep this commitment, but I love this group and will stay involved behind the scenes, ensuring continuity, membership, correspondence, and book selection committee as time permits.
