Announcing a new Meetup for South Orange County Women's Book Club!

This is the meetup for the Classic Book Club, an offshoot of the regular South Orange County Women's Book Club that meets monthly and reads only classics. Anyone is welcome.
For September we will be reading I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Poet Maya Angelou(by popular demand from the poll). Ocotber's choice will be Persuasion by Jane Austen, the other winner.
I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings: Poet Maya Angelou recounts a youth filled with disappointment, frustration, tragedy, and finally hard-won independence. Sent at a young age to live with her grandmother in Arkansas, Angelou learned a great deal from this exceptional woman and the tightly knit black community there. These very lessons carried her throughout the hardships she endured later in life.
Please come prepared to discuss the book. You may come earlier to order food and hang out, but we will officially start at 7 pm. Some people always end up ordering food during the event, but it is not required.

$12.00 annually; prorated for new mem
This covers: Meetup subscription, supplies such as Badges, annual Holiday Social, misc
Payment is accepted using:

- Cash or check - “Paypal - use the option to "Buy Something" to avoid any fees For Cash: See Organizers, Rebecca Chan or Liz Sawyer or Treasurer Janet Miller at meetings.”
Your organizer will refund you if:
- There is no refund. There is a 2-mo. period where the new member can attend meetings, & decide whether to continue with the group. If the new member does want to continue attending meetings, dues are met. If not, she is removed after the grace period.
