Book Discussion: "Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist" by Michael J. Fox

Tis' the season we can help those less fortunate. If you would like to participate in the gift donations for Orangewood Children's Foundation, please bring an unwrapped gift to the meeting.

To Look at their Wish List, or another item on some of the teen's wish list was the Twightlight series, or other Teen Book Reads!

We'll start promptly at 7 p.m., as we will have a special guest speaker for the first 15 to 30 minutes! Please remember to order a food or beverage item from Panera, so we are not just occupying the space they so graciously set aside for us every month!

Thanks!

Rebecca & Liz

Thanks to everyone who brought an unwrapped gift for the Orangewood Children's Foundation! McKenzi is the Volunteer Coordinator for this drive, and you can contact her, or myself, for other donations during December. Holiday Party on Dec. 19 will also be another collection point.

Hi everyone- I just wanted to let you know that I found the book tonight in the bargain area of Barnes & Noble for only $5.98. Now that's a bargain! Liz

I thought it was great touch having a new Author, Kurt Bensworth, and his wife Sandra come to our meeting! I thought Robyn's moderation of Parkinson's was a good chance for others to express their thoughts and feelings. This book club was started so everyone would have a chance to read different books out of their normal realm, and when we read memoirs it will be a different discussion than when we read a "classic" or fiction book. The aim is to discuss what we read, and to read all sorts of books. I hope more of you will add your comments.

great meeting! loved the conversation and insight from members.
    •  Because it was a non fiction book, the discussion was not particularly literary and centered more on the medical problem faced by the author, Michael J. Fox.
